What we do
Each visit starts with your current skin needs. Cleanse, dermaplane when your skin calls for it, enzyme exfoliation, extractions always if needed, and finish with a gameplan for your future skin.

A sterile blade lightly passes across the skin for peach fuzz and surface buildup which gives additional glow and allows better product absorption. Can be added on to any treatment when the skin allows it.
When it makes sense, a facial can share the day with a laser, peel, or microneedling and is a great skin prep for the more intense treatment.
Skin Script enzymes
Skin Script enzymes are professional-use treatments that digest dead surface cells with fruit enzymes, and, in some formulas, measured AHAs or BHAs, so texture looks smoother and product absorbs more evenly. Skin Script publishes a specific enzyme for each concern, which is how we customize the facial in Vienna / Tysons Corner.
That is why two people can book the same “enzyme facial” and leave with two different treatments.
Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a professional, sterile-blade exfoliation that lifts the outermost layer of dead skin and fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). The surface looks smoother, makeup sits more evenly, and serums absorb better. It does not change the follicle and peach fuzz does not grow back thicker or darker.
Dull or dry texture. Fine facial hair that catches product. Makeup that pills. Sun-roughness and early lines that look better once the surface is clean. All skin tones and most skin types when the barrier is intact.
Active inflamed or cystic acne. Open cuts, scabs, or picked skin. A cold sore. Sunburn. A flare of eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, or rosacea on the area. Recent peel, laser, or microneedling until the skin is ready. Recent isotretinoin — we wait. If the blade is not a good idea that day, the enzyme facial still happens without it.
Where to scheudle your facial

The visit
We plan your treatment around what your skin is currently experiencing. Oil, pigment, sensitivity, and what actives you've currently used.
Dermaplaning when your skin calls for it and a Skin Script enzyme chosen for your particular needs. Extractions follow. If you have milia we will address those as well.
Red or blue LED is added depending on skin concern: rejuvenation, redness, or breakouts. A custom hydrojelly mask is also applied to help hydrate and rejuvenate skin.
Serums and sunscreen applied. You leave able to go back to the day and resume normal activities.
FAQ
For a Hydrafacial on its own, book The SPA. At the Advanced Laser and Skin Center, a face Hydrafacial is $275 and is offered when it is paired the same day with a laser or another treatment.
Dermaplaning is an add on service. We skip it on inflamed acne, open skin, a cold sore, sunburn, a flare of eczema or rosacea, or after a recent peel or laser.
No. Peach fuzz is vellus hair. Shaving it does not change the follicle or the type of hair that returns.
No. We have a wide variety of enzymes which cover, acne, dryness, and sensitive skin. We select the specific enzyme after we examine your skin.
Every 4–6 weeks for most people. About every 4 weeks if we are clearing congestion or actively working on skin concerns.
