Expert Skin Solutions
Practice Policies (In-Office)
Effective Date: January 2025
These policies apply to all patients and clients of Expert Skin Solutions and are intended to support a safe, respectful, and effective care environment.
1. Care Relationship & Communication
- Our goal is to create a collaborative treatment relationship based on honesty, safety, and realistic expectations.
- Patients agree to provide complete and accurate medical history information, update us on any changes in health status or medications, and follow agreed-upon treatment plans as reasonably as possible.
- Patients agree to bring questions, concerns, side effects, or dissatisfaction directly to their Expert Skin Solutions provider so we can evaluate and adjust the treatment plan.
2. Medical Advice, AI Tools, and Outside Guidance
- Information from online sources, including AI tools, social media, blogs, and forums, does not replace personalized, professional advice.
- Patients are encouraged to ask us about any outside advice or information before changing or discontinuing their treatment plan.
- If a patient repeatedly disregards our recommendations, follows outside or AI-generated advice that conflicts with our plan, or refuses reasonable modifications we propose for safety and efficacy, this may be considered noncompliance and may be grounds for discontinuation of services in accordance with Section 6 below.
3. Appointments, Cancellations, and No-Show Policy
- Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
- A $100 fee will be charged for missed appointments or cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice.
- The card on file may be charged in accordance with this policy.
- Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in dismissal from the practice consistent with our termination policy.
4. Payment Policy
- Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless otherwise specified.
- We accept major credit cards, debit cards, cash, and checks.
- A 3% surcharge applies to all credit card transactions.
- Returned checks may be subject to additional fees.
5. Service & Treatment Refund Policy (No Guarantee of Results)
- Aesthetic and cosmetic treatments have variable outcomes; individual results can never be guaranteed, even when procedures are performed correctly and according to accepted standards of care.
- Payment is for the time, expertise, professional judgment, and services provided—not for a specific result or outcome. Dissatisfaction with results does not entitle a patient to a refund.
- All purchases for services, treatments, procedures, and prepaid packages are final and non‑refundable once the service has been scheduled and/or initiated.
- This includes, but is not limited to, injectable treatments, laser services, energy-based procedures, facials, and all aesthetic treatments; once treatment is completed, refunds or credits are not offered.
- In our discretion, unused monetary value from a prepaid package may be applied to other aesthetic services at Expert Skin Solutions for the original purchaser only; packages are non‑transferable and must be used within two (2) years of purchase.
6. Product Returns
- Skincare products may be returned within 30 days of purchase if they are unopened, unused, and in original condition with all seals intact.
- All discounted or sale items are final sale and not eligible for return.
- Shipping charges (if applicable) are non‑refundable.
- We reserve the right to deny a return if the product does not meet these conditions, and an excessive number of returns within a 12‑month period may result in refusal of future orders.
7. Discontinuation of Services / Termination of Care
Expert Skin Solutions reserves the right to discontinue services or terminate the provider–patient relationship when it is clinically appropriate, ethically justified, and legally permissible. Examples of reasons include:
- Repeated noncompliance with recommended treatment plans or post‑treatment instructions, including persistent failure to follow reasonable skin care, medication, or safety instructions.
- Repeated reliance on conflicting outside or AI‑generated advice in place of our medical recommendations, after we have explained the risks and attempted to reconcile the treatment plan.
- Repeated missed appointments, late cancellations, or failure to pay for services as agreed.
- Abusive, threatening, or harassing behavior toward staff or other patients.
When terminating care, we will:
- Provide written notice of termination within a reasonable time frame .
- Offer emergency or urgent care only during the notice period if clinically appropriate.
- Provide information to help you locate another provider/practice upon request.
8. Acknowledgment
By receiving services at Expert Skin Solutions, you acknowledge that you have reviewed, understand, and agree to follow these Practice Policies, including our no‑refund policy and our right to terminate the care relationship in accordance with applicable law.
